Foundation Portfolio Evaluation!

Hiii,

I had to create an evaluation for my overall magazine including my preliminary task. I had to answer a variety of questions for the evaluation in good detail. The format i used to produce my evaluation is Microsoft Powerpoint, this was a good format to use as you could make it more professional by adding animations to your work also i found this was an easy way of presenting my research and my actual magazine. Most of my reseach into my magazine is displayed in both powerpoint and my blog. This is because this is the easiest format to use to present my work in good detail without having any trouble. I found these questions easy to answer as the knowledge i needed was already taken upon whilst creating my preliminary magazine and my music magazine, this defiantly was an advantage as i wouldnt have been able to answer such questions without my understanding of simple things such as codes and conventions of magazines. I had to answer the following questions:

In what way’s does your media product use, develop or challenge form’s and convention’s of real media product’s?

How does your media product represent particular social group’s?

What kind of media institution might describe your media product and why?

Who would be the audience for your media product?

How did you attract/address your audience?

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

Overall Magazine!

Overall i am really pleased with my music magazine and my preliminary task. I really enjoyed working on my magazine from the start untill the finish. Working on my magazine has helped me alot with my skills in technolgy working with different programme's such as adobe photo shop. I can now take these skills away with me and work on different subjects using the skills i have learned. When we first got told the task that we had to take upon, i didnt think i had enough knowledge to get how far i did. But when i started with the preliminary task it really helped me get the hang of what i needed to do. I think if we didnt do the preliminary task i dont think i would be able to complete the music magazine looking as professional as it does. Keeping on track with my preliminary task and music magazine was hard to get a grip of. I found when creating my preliminary task it was hard to keep up to date with my work as this was the first time i had designed a magazine. But once i moved onto my music magazine i had the hang of the time management. My blog really helped me on this as i could keep looking back at the previous work i had done, i also created title drafts which i had created to remind myself what work i needed to get done. I really enjoyed using Adobe Photoshop as gave me great advantages to make my work look more professional. It also made me put more detail in my magazine both the preliminary task and the music magazine, even though i was limeted on my sources whilst creating my school magazine the reason for this is because i didnt know alot of skills from adobe photoshop whilst working on my preliminary task, but this advanced whilst creating my music magazine as i had practiced more skills and worked with different tools. Since i have finished my magazine i have used my photoshop skills in further subjects this has not only helped me in media but also in a wider range of subjects. I have really loved designing and creating my preliminary magazine and my main music magazine, this has gave me inspiration to take my skills further on in life, and maybe pursue a career in the subject.

My Magazine Interview.

Hii,
I have now finished producing my interview with M'A. I had to make sure it consisted with my target audience as i couldnt make it sophisticated as my target audience is teenage girl's and in the interview if i had complicated long word's they would struggle to read it. I had to make the interview very "girly" so it made them want to carry on reading and persuade them to buy the next week's issue. I had to think carefully about the style and attitude i was going to use in my interview before writing it out, this is because using the wrong stlye of writing and the wrong attitude could push my target audience away. First of all i had to think about what my interview would be about, this didn't take me long to figure out as my tagline from my magazine told it all! My tagline is "Gossip, Boys and Fun!" obvousily my interview would consist of this. I included questions about boy's, her friendship's and the latest gossip i thought carefully and relised this is what teenage girl's would want to know about.

This is my interview:

Joining us this week is M’A, recently added to the charts in 4th position with her latest single “Sunshine”. She recently spilt from a band known as “The Girl’s” due to a crisis with the girls and wanting to take upon a solo career. Here in this week’s issue we get to hear some of her latest gossip, boy crisis, and what made really made her ex band split!

BOP BOP POP: Hello M’A, welcome to your first interview with BOP BOP POP. How are you today?

M’A: Heyy, yeah its really cool to be interviewed by you. Im okay thanks.

BOP BOP POP: Just okay? Whats really going on in your head?

M’A: Boys (Giggle’s)

BOP BOP POP: Is this about Christian Lopez by any chance?

M’A: Yeah! But hes just a friend honest (Blushes)

BOP BOP POP: Ok, even though you were seen with him smooching..

M’A: That was a goodnight kiss (Laughs)

BOP BOP POP: Moving on, its finally nice to see you persuing your solo career.

M’A: Yeah its great being able to produce and sing my own music, I had to wait until i got things sorted out at home.

BOP BOP POP: Things?

M’A: Well I when i was with “The Girls” we all lived in a pad together and i thought the best thing to do when we split was to move as i got the blame for the band splitting.

BOP BOP POP: You got the blame? Wasn’t it a joint decision?

M’A: Well we all went through a stage of not talking and arguing, i really don’t know why. Then one day our agent got us all together and told us to sort it!

BOP BOP POP: what happend once it got sorted?

M’A: well i suggested we split for a while to see if space was needed away from our band, after i suggested that our agent said well thats that! Then we split.

BOP BOP POP: The media was very harsh publishing stories about you causing the band to split, did this worry you when you went to pursue your solo career?

M’A: Yes they was alot said about me that was untrue, but im back and im going to prove to people it was wrong. I have changed alot and my music is different from how it used to be.

BOP BOP POP: Yes we know you want to inspire young teenage girls is this true?

M’A: Yes my music hopefully will inspire teenage girls i think they are the best audience to support you.

BOP BOP POP: Are we going to see more of you since your on your singing alone now?

M’A: yes i will be doing alot of concerts and appearing live on shows. I really hope my solo career kicks of.

BOP BOP POP: Yes it certainly has kicked of, youve made it 4th in the charts with your new single “sunshine”

M’A: whoooo i cant actually believe it, im so happy. I would really like to be number 1 (laughs)

BOP BOP POP: Youve plenty of time to become number 1, what inspired your single “sunshine”?

M’A: I really don’t know to be fair, i just thought of a song one morning and came up with a name. Thats the truth (giggle’s)

BOP BOP POP: Its good to be honest, would you appear in this magazine again?

M’A: Yes certainly maybe once i have published more music and become number 1 (smiles)

BOP BOP POP: Great, you really want to become number 1 why?

M’A: Just to prove to people i can do it alone (Laughs)

BOP BOP POP: Everyone cant wait for your single “sunshine” to be purchasable.

M’A: Me 2 im gunna buy loads of copys (smiles)

BOP BOP POP: thats all we have time for thankyou for taking time to get interviewed with us
M’A: yeah thank you for having me.

To catch M’As latest single “sunshine” she appears live on gossip Thursday 24th april.

Overall i really like the style and attitude i used, i think it really links in with the target audience i had chosen, also i think my magazine would be competition towards other magazine's if it was published. I think it consists of all the codes and conventions of magazine's.

My Magazine Factfile.

Hiii,

I have now started to produce the work that need's to be put in the magazine. I produced a factfile and a interview to be shown on my 2 page spread. My factfile is about my artist M'A, i had to keep it linking with my target audience so when thinking about question's i had to remember not to change my language as it is going to be aimed at teenage girl's. I thought this was relevent for my target audience as it isnt too over powering and will defiantly be easy to read if it was published in a magazine. This is what i produced to go into my 2 page spread:

Fact File of M’A
Real name: Emma (M’A)
Age: 19
Location: County Durham
Hobbies: Singing and Dancing
Loves: Her pet Poodle Poppy and ice cream
Hates: Creepy crawlies
Favourite Drink: Strawberry milkshake
Favourite food: Granny’s Sunday dinner
Quote: “Singing is my life”

I thought this would link in with my target audience, as the language is very basic and the attitude is "cheesy".

Editing My Picture's.

Hii,
Once i had taken my picture's i had to edit them to the standard's i wanted for my magazine. I used a variety of techniques to manipulate my pictures. The reason for editing my pictures was to make them more professional looking. I used tools such as the magic wand tool, crop tool, clone stamp tool, impressionist brush, paint bucket tool, gradient tool. Also i adjusted the lighting and the colour to make it look more effective. Heres an example of a picture i manipulated:

from this... To this!

Adobe photoshop gave me great advantages to make my work more professional. I dont think my work would be as good and professional looking if i didnt have these tools and skills to use on my magazine. Also if i didnt have photoshop to use whilst creating my music magazine i think my magazine would just have the same codes and conventions and skills used as my preliminary task, the reason for this is because whilst creating my preliminary task i didnt know the knowledge about photoshop as i do now, so i wouldnt be able to add these to my music magazine.

Taking My Magazine Picture's.

Hiii,

For my magazine i had to include image's that would link in with my double page spread, also to be on the front cover. I decided to use natual settings in the background of the images i had taken the reason for my choice is because my artist is a natual looking girl and i thought the natural light in the background of the scenery would just add the final touch to my images. I took around 100 image's as i found taking loads of shots using different camera angle's would help me choose the best image for my magazine page's. Before taking my magazine pictures i had to produce shooting plans to set up what i needed to consider before taking them. This really helped me as if i took the pictures first hand without researching what i actually needed to consider my pictures i dont think would be as professional as i would want them. Whilst taking my pictures i did take around 100 shots, some that i hadnt planned on taking. Some of these picutres actually turned out to be the chosen pictures for my magazine. I think the reason for this is because my style for my magazine that i wanted was "Natural" and the pictures that i didnt actually plan on taking were more natural looking than the pictures i took time on and planned the position for the artist. i choose to take my pictures on a bright and sunny day obviously to match the style of my magazine this was an advantage because it had been sunny weather all week. I loved taking the pictures for my magazine as i felt like a photographer and i used all my photography skills into getting the pictures i wanted.

Here is a variety of images i had chosen to be included in my magazine:

For this image i choose to have a natural background, the reason for my choice is because this makes the image link in with the style of my magazine as my artist is very natural looking. I think i would spoil the main style of the magazine if i started using backgrounds that took the contrast away from the picture this would not look right considering it is a "POP" magazine.

The reason for choosing a white background is because this shows innocence and purity of the artist herself. I also choose my artist to have specific body language this is to show her natural personality and to show she hasnt been set up to be fake and acting like someone eles, this is her herself; her personality outside the work industry.

I decided to dress my artist in very plain, simple clothes as my artist is seen as a simple young singer. This i think is inspirational for my target audience especially those who aspire to be like popstars. I think the fashion accessories just top her style of as she isnt overloaded wearing too much, she is keeping her style plain. This will also be an advantage for my target audience as its easy to copy her style for those who look up to popstars as a fashion icon.

I really enjoyed taking the pictures for my magazine, i thought about the camera angles and lighting whilst taking them by using the planning shoots i had created. I like the way i have used natural light in all my pictures this is to show my artist being herself. This will attract my target audience as every teenage girl aspires to be like natural, girly popstars "Wannabees". By planning my photoshoots this was a really good advantage as it gave me a step ahead and it let me get take my pictures for my magazine without wasting time taking images that wernt going to be used.

My Artist For My Magazine.

Hiii,
For my magazine i needed to create an artist or a band that would appear in my magazine. For this i needed to imagine a new artist that nobody knew of. I started to think about my target audience and came up with a few idea's that i think would look good.

Genre of music: POP
Reason for my choice: i choose this music genre as i took a liking to the genre itself, and i knew i would find it easier as i took an interest in it where as i wouldnt of been able to handle the work if i done a music genre such as rock as i dont have an interest in this music genre.

Target audience: Teenage girl's
Reason for my choice: i choose this target audience as i knew it was an easy target audience to aim things at. Also its easy to think of codes and conventions that would be in a POP magazine.

Name of band or artist: M'A shortened for her real name Emma.
Reason for my choice: The reason i choose this name for my artist is because i used my inspiration for other bands and artists which have broken down names. I thought this name is catchy and easy to remember, as it is simple.

Who is in the band: A female singer called M'A, who recently split from a band to persue a colo career.
Reason for my choice: I choose to use a female singer this is because it would link in with my target audience as my magazine is based for teenage girls, and it wouldnt really inspire them if i choose a male band.

Looks/Dress/Hair: My artist will have a very girly style, wearing sweet dress's and minimal make-up. Her hair she designed herself very "Puffy" and blonde to match her personality, as she is very bubbly and polite.
Reason for my choice: Again it links in with my target audience, my artist will be very natural looking as they are role models for teenage girls. I defiantly wouldnt use a artist that wore a face full of make-up, this would be wrong as teenage girls wouldnt look up to the artist as a role model.

History: M'A was oringailly in a band called "The girl's"who decided to split die to a crisis, and she wanted to persue a solo career as the band wasnt exactly working out. After the split she met up with a new agent and he set her up with one of the best contract's available. Now M'A has reached 4th in the uk top 40 chart's with her new single "Sunshine".

Designing My Own Magazine.

Hiii,

I have started think about designing my own magazine and the different code's and convention's that need to be included. I have chosen to do "POP" as my music genre, this is because i know the most about this genre and also i thought it would be a good inspiration to work on. I wanted to focus on a magazine designed for teenage girls, and i thought this was the closest genre that would link in with what i intended to do. A magazine that i have recently researched, currenylu in publication that cover's this music genre would be "Top of the Pops", I looked into the different code's and convention's of this music genre to give me idea's for my own magazine. Whilst researching "Top of the Pops" i found many feature's that they have in thier magazine, this included:

-Latest gossip

-Pictures of "stars"

-Cringe Moments

-Backstage gossip with the "Stars"

-Quiz's Eg. Personality

-Help and Advice

-Poster's for your own use

-Competition's

-Interview's

-Advertisment

-Make-up Tips

-Fashion

-Real life stories

-Star sign's

-Do's and Dont's

And many more..

As you can see in my research these features gave me alot of inspiration for my own magazine as i am going to have interviews included also in mine. I am also going to concentrate on an additional feautre which will be lifestlye, this is because my magazine isnt just going to be about "Music" its going to include abit of everything for example i will have page's about the latest music and i will also have pages about "Boys" and "fashion". It didn't take me long to consider what my target audience would be, because since i got my inspiration from "top of the pop's" i wanted my magazine to have the same feel as that magazine. At first i imagined what would be an easy target audeince to consider, but then decided to go along with teenage girls as it wasn't hard to think of feature's that would have to be put in the magazine Eg. "Cute boy band's". I also had to consider on how i would appeal to my target audeince, so i decided to put myself in my target audience's shoes for a moment and thought about what i would like to see in a "Pop" magazine if i was that age. I then decided i would include the latest trends for young teenager's, the coolest music out in the chart's (mainly POP) and the popular "cute" Boy band's. I thought including these feature's would defiantly catch a young girl's attention if the "Jonas Brother's" were spread across a 2 page spread! Once i had all the information about what music genre i would use etc... i then had to think about the title. I choose the title "BOP BOP POP!" the reason for my choice is i thought this name linked in with my target audience, also i thought it would catch my target audience's attention as the name consisted of an Onomatipia which i thought was catcy towards the reader itself and it grabbed the reader as soon as they read the title. Deciding on a cover price for my target audience was fairly easy, the reason for this is because i wouldn't make my magazine pricy because young teenager's havnt got an income like £4 to spend every week the magazine is published. I thought maybe £1.00-£1.50, would be a reasonable price or maybe have a special price of £0.50p for one week to let the target audience know that the magazine will be affordable. I have chose my magazine to have "glossy" pages, as my magazine will be published weekly so i didn't want my magazine to cost alot to publish as once it was read it will be chucked away and then the next weekly issue will be purchased. I didn't want to spend alot of money on the greater quality of paper as it wouldn't be noticed as much as montly magazine's. My magazine will be released weekly as it will have alot of gossip and lot's of exciting new's and event's included. Also my magazine isnt going to be sophisticated, it will have load's of content indicator's on the front cover and it will be very "packed" of information. I decided to go with the colour scheme Pink, White and Black the reason for my choice is it link's in with the target audience as pink is a "Girly" colour. Also i didn't want to have bright and bold colour's as colour's such as "Yellow" and "Orange" wouldn't really link with the target audience as everyone know's that pink is a girl colour, also the colour's i have choose will let my target audience know this is the magazine published for them. I needed to design a masthead for my magazine so i decided to make it clear, Bold and eye catching.

Example: BOP BOP POP!

After designing my masthead, i then had to think of a tagline. I reasearched into "Top of the Pop's" taglines, this gave me inspiration for mine. I then thought of a tagline "Gossip, Boys and Fun!" I thought this linked in with my magazine, as it let the target audience know what was going to be included in my magazine. Also i think my tagline is Catchy! After designing what colours, name's and style's that were going to be included in my magazine i then had to decide on possible artist's that may appear in my magazine weekly. I had to think about wether or not they would link in with my target audience and music genre. I decided on:

-Pussycat Dolls

-Girls Aloud

-Rhianna

-Chris Brown

-Katy Perry

-Jonas Brother's

I thought these artist's linked in with my target audience and music genre, this is because these artist's are about the same age as the artist i will be using, which i think will attrach many reader's to my magazine. Starting to think about my front cover, i needed to think about way's in which i would tantalise my reader. By doing this i have thought of a few idea's such as for my price i will have a special edition price for one week, this will defiantly attract my target audience as they are young and will not be able to afford an expensive product so maybe if my magazine was a special edition price of £0.50 for that week it would attract alot of audience to my magazine. Also i could include free gift's in my magazine. My magazine would have to include item's such as make-up and girl accessorie's the reason for my choice in item's is so it's gender specific and link's in with my target audience. I could also include poster's of singer's and band's that are going to be included in that weekly edition of the magazine. The reason why i chose poster's is because in my own experiance when i was younger i would alway's look for "cute" boys that were going to be included in the poster's so i could stick them on my wall. That's why i have included them to try and sell my magazine to my target audience this will defiantly tantalise the reader. The last feature i will include in my magazine will be competition's and advertise them on my front cover. This will defiantly attract my target audience as young teenage girl's will like to take part in "free" competition's knowing they have the chance to win free gift's and trip's. My content's page is going to be plain and simple, but on the other hand still have content idicator's spreading across the page. The feature's i will include in my content's page will have artist's special's for this i will use my artist M'A. I needed to think about a series of regular feature's that will appear in my magazine to relate to my music genre. I decided to include maybe song lyric's linking in with my chosen genre POP. Also i am going to include Questionnaire's that relate to your personality and relationship's this will relate to my target audience. The last feature i came up with would be "how to do" things, such as how to get your hair like M'A. For this feature i will show images on how to get a certain hairstyle maybe a hairstlye that your latest fashion icon has got. This will link in with my music genre and target audience this is because i will use a pop star's hairstyle to show the target audience how to get similiar hair. It will link in with my target audience as teenage girl's always look for new hairstyle's and the first place they would look would be there fashion icon.

Codes and Conventions of music magazines.

Hii,
Today i have been looking at the code's and convention's of music magazine's. I found out that music magazine's are simliar but not exact to other magazine's such as gossip magazine's. I started of looking at the code's and convention's of Top of the Pops and focused on the music genre pop. I looked at the four main element's of magazine's which are layout, image, text and audience profile. The top of the pop's magazine is very girly in way's in which i will explaine further on. "Girly" suggesting the target audience would be for young girl's. The magazine's colour scheme is very simple using the colour's pink's and white's, this will be representing gender for female's. The layout is very busy and has alot of content idicator's. The layout also isnt very sophisticated showing that it is allocated for a younger generation, because if top of the pop's was very sophisticated the teenager's would have great difficulty understanding the layout and coming to term's with it, as they wouldn't be able to find what they are looking for. Looking at the text of the magazine, i found that they were using "san's serif" which is a very plain rounded text. I found this style of text made it link in with the style of the magazine, as if the magazine used the "serif" style text it would make the text from the magzine out of place, and make the text like it isnt ment to be there. Top of the pop's magazine uses a very gender specific image which tell's the reader the gender which is female. It use's a female artist, dressed up in a "Diva" dress, Lot's of make-up and her hair down straight. I think the reason for this image being used is many young teenage girl's would look up to this singer used on the image and think of her as a role model and aspiration. Also another reason for this image being used is because she is the main article in the magazine. By looking at this magazine you can tell straight away that the target audience is for teenage girls. From looking at the code's and convention's of this magazine, i have found some idea's for my magazine. It has gave me some aspiration as top of the pop's has the same music genre as the one i will use for my magzine, also it has used the same ideas that i will expand on to make my magazine competetive towards other magazine's from the same style of music genre, Pop!

Content's Page.

Hiii,
I have now started to look at different style's of content pages for magazine's. I have chosen to work with a simple layout for my content's page. The reason for this is because i didn't want to put to much information on it as i wanted to keep that for the other pages. Also some of the magazine's i researched used a simple layout. Even though my magazine is made for gossip i thought that making it over crowded by filling it with loads of text and images, would make the reader confused and unable to browse for the chosen interests. For the background i have chosen an image based from the school grounds, I didn't want a main image on the content's page as it isnt exactly a page where all the main information is placed, and i would't class the content's page as the most important. Instead i choose a simple picture that would make the reader reflect on the school itself. I am keeping my content's page simple as i don't want to over it. And i would rather the front cover have the most attention as it's the main page of the whole magazine.

Finished School Magazine Front Cover.

Hiii,
I have now finished my school magazine's front cover. I have concentrated on the code's and convention's to make my magazine just like a real one. I used the same font's for all my text on my front cover, the text i used was Myraid Pro. The reason i used the same font was because i didn't want loads of different styles of font i wanted to keep it simple. I thought if i used different style's of text it would confuse the reader. I used a simple colour scheme for my front cover, which is the school colour's. I thought this would give the reader a better link with the school itself. I have changed a few thing's while creating my front cover, i have now included the school address and if they feel the need to write to the school about the magazine they can feel free to do so. In my magazine sketch i have mentioned that i will put a badge behind the price and issue number of the magazine, this i couldn't do as it was covering my main image and would stop the reader getting full effect of the magazine. I also thought about wether or not to have content idicators as it would cover most of the image and would look like it's taking alot of the space up. But then i did think about it and decided to include content indicators as my magazine was sort of a gossip magazine, and also for teenagers from the age of 11-16. I think if i didn't use content indicators it would make my magazine more formal and this may stop my target audience from reading the school magazine. Also i have included a barcode on my front cover, even though there is no way of scanning the magazine's at school. But i wanted to have the student's feel the magazine style as all other magazine's i have researched all have bar code's included.

Sketch of school magazine front cover.

Hii,

I have started to now think about what my school front cover magazine will look like. I have now started to sketch my ideas on A3 Paper. This will give me a good idea of how my front cover will look like. I need to include the main concepts of magazines, such as bold titles, bold colours to match layout and colour scheme, main image in the centre of the page, to show what the main story will be about in the issue of the magazine etc. This is important to include all the major concept's so its just like a real magazine, and so student's will like what they see and what they asked for.

Analysing the result's of my Questionnaire.

Hii,

Today i have started analysing my result's from my questionnaires. This is important as i cant just get data and not do anything with it. I am going to do each question, and then produce an analytical diagram to go with it. With the diagram i will anaylse each question, telling you things such as "why this will help" Etc. Making diargram's help as it will show me the wide spread of result's i have got and it will show you what popular information need's to be included in the magazine. Producing diagram's will help me to analyse my results for numerical data, but i will find it hard to analyse question's that are "open" as they give unique and diverse answers.

Research for magazine (questionnaire's)

Hii,

I have now started to think about what i will include in my school magazine. I started of by creating a questionnaire to ask year 7 to year 11 students what they would like to see in the magazine once published. I started of by creating a few questions then got a peer to asses my questions and tell me what i could do to make them better. Once assesed i used the feedback to make the questions better and to think about other question's that needed to be asked. I finally got my questionnaire finished and started getting different year group's to fill in my questionnaire. I produced 30 questionnaires and got all of them back, i looked through my questionnaire's and it seems i have got a good range of answers back. This will help me alot when it comes to producing what goes into my magazine. In my questionnaire i included question's such as:

1) Are you male or female?

2) What year are you in?
- year 7
-year 8
-year 9
-year 10
-year 11

3) Would you be interested in reading the school magazine once produced?
-yes
-no

4) If no, please tell us your reason for not wanting to read the school magazine?
-not interested in school
-no spare time to read it

-school subject's and lesson review's
-school event's
-sport's
-puzzle's and achievment's
-horoscope's
-other ______

6)would you be willing to pay for the magazine?
-yes
-no

7)Is so, how much would you be willing to pay?
-£0.50-£1.00
-£1.25-£1.50
-£1.75-£2.00
-other ________

8)what are your interest's or hobbie's inside or outside school?

I thought these question's would help me alot this is because they were relevant to what i needed to find out to be able to produce my magazine.

Media Magazine :)

Hii,

I have recently started looking at the different concept's of magazine's, magazine's such as Look, Hello, FHM, Mizz etc. In these magazine's i have looked at the style's and layout's that appear in all magazines. And have found that all magazine's have alot of things in common, such as bold titles, bold colours, date and edition, main image in the middle etc. After looking at the different style's and layout's i started looking at the different denotation's and conatation's from the magazine's, this helped me to think about why things are put where they are. It also let me think what sort of things i will include on my front page for my school magazine.
